Now a days either total (TPN) or partial parenteral nutrition (PPN) have played major role in provialing sufficient support to sustain growth of critically ill baby as well as extremely low birth weight baby (ELBW) in Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. Parenteral Nutrition (PN) for baby less than 1800 gr weight (when oral feeding is impossible for more than 3 days), weight > 1800 gr (when oral feeding is impossible for more than 5 days). Respiratory problem > 4 days, major congenital malformation of GIT enterocolitis necroticans, prolonged diarrhea or malabsorbtion and post operation baby (particularly post abdominal operation).

However human logistics resourches in including medical facilities, nursing, pharmacies and laboratory have remain obstacles in achieving intact survival neonates.

The purpose of this papaer is encourage us to be able perform optimal or save parenteral nutrition in neonates.
